BIOGRAPHY:

🏛 Director of U.S. Federal Policy at Stripe since 2021.

🚀 Prior to Stripe, Matt worked with one of the top web3 angel investors by providing legal, regulatory, and policy expertise for a portfolio of 200+ early stage companies.

🇺🇸 For nearly a decade, Matt was a top policy advisor in Congress for the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, serving as Deputy Staff Director and previously Designee to the Vice Chairman. Areas of focus included: startup capital formation, angel investing, fintech, AI, and crypto policy.

💡 In addition to numerous speaking engagements and fellowships, he was as an affiliate of the prestigious Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and a recipient of the American Swiss Foundation’s Young Leaders Award.

📚 He received his law degree at the University of Denver and his undergraduate from the University of Michigan.
